April Ann Lincoln, age 29, was welcomed into the arms of the angels on July 28, 2012. April was born on April 12, 1983 in Neenah, Wisconsin. She lived for a short time in Clintonville, Wisconsin before moving to Green Bay where she has lived for the last 28 years. At six weeks of age April developed Cerebral Palsy related to Spinal Meningitis. Despite her limitations, she lived a happy life and was loved by many family members and friends. She enjoyed going to school and attended Anne Sullivan, Syble Hopp, and most recently the Cerebral Palsy Center Adult Program, where she will be missed by many friends and caregivers. She is survived by her mother, Barb (Peters) Sikowski and special friend Ward Vandenberg of De Pere; her father and step-mother, Brian and Sally Lincoln of Embarrass; step-father, Don Sikowski of Green Bay; sisters, Tara (Jeffrey) Kovacevich of Eau Claire, Kim Shufelt of Seymour, and Stacy (Rick) Buss of Green Bay; brothers, Travis and Tyler Sikowski of Green Bay; nephews, Matthew Kobriger and Brandon Buss of Green Bay, Kristofer and Kaleb Shufelt of Seymour, and Lucas Kovacevich of Eau Claire; niece, Katelyn Kovacevich of Eau Claire; grandparents, Ione P...[more]

rs of Green Bay, Lawrence and Elsie Sikowski of Green Bay, and Ruth and Ron Kubale of Brillion. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins and special friends that loved her dearly. She is preceded in death by grandparents, Clarence Peters, Levi Lincoln, Barb Lincoln, David Ratliff Sr., Inelgean Ratliff and an uncle, Gerald Vanden Bush. Visitation will be held at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Avenue, on Monday, July 30, 2012 from 11:00 am until the funeral service at 2:00 pm with Rev. Robert Rhyner officiating. Interment will follow at Prince of Peace Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established in April's name. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff on 6-ICU, Shirley Triest-Robertson, NP from Palliative Care and Dr. Alshahrouri at St. Vincent Hospital, for their excellent care, as well as Unity Hospice, Rennes Health and Rehab Center, and Golden Living Center (especially Wendy). Also, a special thank you to the staff at the Cerebral Palsy Center and the many caregivers from ResCare, especially Carolyn and Mary who have cared for April for many years. Thank you to all who have been a part of making April's time on earth special.
