Ruth P. Knoespel

RUTH P.KNOESPEL Mrs. Ruth Knoepsel, formerly of Port Washington, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Harbor Chase of Jacksonville in Jacksonville, FL. She was 98 years old. Ruth was born in Aurora, IL on January 6, 1914, daughter of John and Lydia Maechtle Stallman. Following her education she was united in marriage with Harold Knoespel on June 20, 1936 in Port Washington. The couple settled in Port and raised their family. Harold preceded her in death in 1994. She later moved to Florida to be closer to her daughter. Ruth was a longtime member of Grand Avenue United Methodist Church, as well as the United Methodist Women. She is survived by her four children: Karen (David) Schubert of Jacksonville, FL, Richard Knoespel of Las Vegas, NV, John (Laurie) Knoespel of Rutherfordton, NC, and Paul (Sally) Knoespel of Hudson, WI. She is further survived by 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mrs. Knoespel is preceded in death by her husband, their son, David, and her sister, Alfreda Schlueter.
