Beulah Mae Welch Darrow, 91, of Monticello, Iowa, and formerly of Maquoketa, Iowa, died on Saturday morning, February 18, 2012, at the Monticello Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Monticello, Iowa. A celebration of her life will be held at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, February 22, 2012, from the Carson & Son Funeral And Cremation Services in Maquoketa. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 P.M. on Tuesday, February 21, 2012, from the Carson & Son Funeral And Cremation Services in Maquoketa, Iowa. Burial will be in the Pence Cemetery, rural Baldwin, Iowa. Beulah Mae McNamee was born on June 11, 1920 in Jackson County, Iowa to Fred and Mate (Littel) McNamee. She was a graduate of Baldwin High School. She married Herman Suel Welch on June 1, 1937 in Maquoketa, Iowa. He preceded her in death on November 8, 1971. 17 years later she married Harold Darrow on September 3, 1988 in Lost Nation, Iowa. He preceded her in death on May 18, 2001. Beulah had worked at the Ben Franklin Five & Dime Store in Maquoketa for almost 20 years as a stocker and clerk. Beulah was a longtime member of the Royal Neighbors of America. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Herman and her husband Harold, a brother, Arlo McNamee, and 5 grandchildren, Dennis Kemp, Johnny Filloon, Karen Welch, Lynn Kemp and Jim Filloon.
