Marian M. Moeller, 97, of Maquoketa, Iowa, died on Saturday morning, February 11, 2012, at the Crestridge Nursing Home in Maquoketa, Iowa. A celebration of her life will be held at 2 P.M., Wednesday, February 15, 2012, from the Carson & Son Funeral and Cremation Services in Maquoketa, Iowa. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1 to 2 P.M. on Wednesday, February 15, 2012, from the Carson & Son Funeral And Cremation Services in Maquoketa, Iowa. Burial will be in the Andrew, Iowa Cemetery. Marian M. Moeller was born on September 11, 1914 on the family farm located on Dark Hollow Road near Andrew, Iowa. Her parents were Henry and Ethel (Keeney) Moeller. She never married. Marian had worked in Chicago, Illinois from 1936 to 1945. She then attended and graduated from Jane Lamb School of Nursing in June of 1948. She then began a career in nursing, most notably working as an Industrial Health Nurse for 15 years at Clinton Engines in Maquoketa from 1952 to 1967, and then as a registered nurse at Crestridge Nursing Home in Maquoketa from 1967 to 1974. Marian is survived by a sister-in-law, Arlene Moeller of Maquoketa, IA; 1 nephew and 5 nieces, Dick (Jane) Moeller of SC, Betty Jean Hayes of AZ, Janet (Dale) Levetzow of Davenport, IA, Lois (Wayne) Schepers of Delmar, IA, Wanda (Gary) Trafford of DeWitt, IA, and Beverly (Harry) Fuller of Davenport, IA; and numerous great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Lyla, and brothers, Fay and Wayne. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to the Marian M. Moeller memorial fund.
