Darl Dwight Beal passed away Monday, July 18, 2011 at the age of 80 years young at Hospice of Monroe County in the Monroe County Hospital. Darl was born February 15, 1931 in Lucas, Iowa, the son of Goldie and Elijah "Manny" Beal. He had six brothers and one sister. Darl married Betty L. Beal on July 7, 1965. To this union they had one son Andrew (Andy) Dwight Beal . Darl was in the service where he did his basic training at Fort Chaffy, Arkansas. After his basic training in April 1952, Darl was than stationed in Germany and was honorable discharge in 1954. Darl then proceeded to work at Maytag in Newton, Iowa plus helped his father on the family farm. Darl also ran a gas station in Bussey, and later worked as a carpenter until he retired. Darl is survived by his wife Betty, children Mike (Carla) Beal of Phoenix, Arizonia, Pat Beal, Jeff (Mindy) Beal, and daughter in law, Diane Beal all of Albia, Iowa. Darl is preceded in death by parents Elijah and Goldie Beal, five brothers, Elijah Jr, Floyd, Bill, Don, Otto, and one sister, Myrtle Eggleston, one son, Andy Beal, and one grandson, Jerade See. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Sinnott Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Lovilia with Jim Hatfield officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville. Darl's family would like to welcome everyone for a luncheon before the service at the Lovilia Community Building at 11:30 a.m. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, opening to the public at 2:00 p.m. and the family will be present from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home in Lovilia.
