Tony Lahart

Tony Lahart, age 41, of Albia died Sunday morning, June 19, 2011 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City. He was born in Monroe County to Ray and Paula (Miller) Lahart on November 14, 1969. Tony was a farmer. He was a 1-2 member of the American Legion in Albia, Knights of Columbus and the Eagles Clubs. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan. He is survived by his father, Ray Lahart of Albia, three children: Sami, Stephen, and Sara of Colfax, siblings: Mike "Tyrone" (Karen) Pickerell of Albia, Cathy (Dave) Thomas of Albia, and Sheila (Kevin) Pickney of Ottumwa, brother-in-law, Bill Kerr of Albia, nine nephews, two nieces and many friends and relatives. He is preceded in death by his mother, and sister Vicki Kerr. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Georgetown with Father Mike Volkmer officiating. Burial will follow in St. Patick's Cemetery in Georgetown.
